Yes !
 • For families with children, for a minimum of two adult bikes rented, we offer free rental of children's bikes!
 • For groups of more than 4 bikes, you benefit from a 20% discount on the total rental amount! (From 1/2 day rental)
 • For specific requests for groups of large people, and/or for a long period, we will study a tailor-made quote !

I would like to rent bikes as a family, do you have the necessary equipment?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! For the little ones, we offer child seats from 9 to 22kg, 20” bikes from 120 to 140cm, 24” bikes from 125 to 150cm as well as a 26” electric bike from 150cm to 164cm!
Bonus, when you rent two adult bikes, we offer free rental of children's bikes!

What rates do you offer? What do they include and how can I get the most out of them?

We offer our bikes at the most competitive prices in the area, for models in a higher range!
For example: for an electric VTC rental, I ride all day, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a 625Wh battery and a powerful but very economical motor! I take the time to enjoy the area, visit monuments or natural sites, and have a picnic. I enjoy the day on a high-end, comfortable bike with reliable and efficient equipment! The quality of our bikes is part of the majority of our customers' feedback on our Google reviews!
I can also visit one of our partner winemakers for a wine or whisky tasting, for example.

We aim to offer you a complete experience : route suggestion or creation, Garmin GPS loan, advice on points of interest, recommended routes and areas based on your level or the weather, we accompany you before or during your rental to enjoy the best of the region by bike.

Finally, depending on your area and number of people, you'll benefit from free delivery (or the lowest possible flat rate covering travel costs) of your bikes! We can accommodate specific schedules or last-minute cancellations upon request.

We can deliver the bikes to the address of your choice: restaurant or seminar complex on the canal, restaurant, accommodation, all options are possible!

Different outing options: self-guided, with very easy-to-use GPS guidance and Easy Vélo circuit or tailor-made to suit your group or with a qualified partner instructor (on request).

Canal du Midi, Cité de Carcassonne, Corbières, Montagne Noire, the possibilities are endless and the Carcassonnais region is full of magnificent roads and paths with few cars!

How do deliveries work and at what cost?

It's very simple!
 • If you want to rent a bike on the same day and our trucks are available, there is no need to make an appointment, just call or ask !
 • Otherwise, we will schedule your delivery together and in advance to the place and time of your choice : meeting point, personal residence, vacation residence, anything is possible!

> All deliveries between Villegly and Carcassonne (and to Carcassonne) or within 8km of Villegly to Vol d'oiseau are free for 2 or more bikes or offered at €5 per trip for one bike.
> Any delivery between 8km and 15km as the crow flies from Villegly is free for more than 3 bikes rented, or offered at €15 per trip.
> Any delivery between 15 and 30km is free for more than 4 bikes rented, or offered at €25 per trip.
> Any delivery between 30 and 45km is free for more than 5 bikes rented, or offered at €35 per trip.

When can I pick up or return the bike?

We are open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. without interruption .
For deliveries, specific drop-off and collection times can be scheduled, upon request.

What equipment is included in a bike rental?

We provide helmet, repair kit, lock, charger (for electric bikes and multi-day rentals) as well as a Garmin GPS.

I want to rent a bike but I don't know where to go or I'd like to change route but I don't know the area well! Do you offer tours?

Absolutely !
> We offer free Garmin GPS devices with recorded rides of all levels . We also have phone holders on all our hybrid bikes: bonus: you can charge your smartphone on our electric bikes while riding!

We can also create a tailor-made tour with you !

> We are also partners with guides/instructors who will be delighted to accompany you for a half-day, a full day or even several days! Don't hesitate to talk to us about it to easily schedule the service together .

> There are many marked routes , as well as magnificent greenways including the famous Canal du Midi and the Voie Verte linking the Canal du Midi and Bram to Montségur!

The Aude is full of magnificent roads, in every corner of the department! It is also not lacking in excellent mountain bike trails and technical paths: there is something for everyone , you will never get tired of it!

What to do in the event of a breakdown or puncture?

We provide each bike with a repair kit for basic punctures and a multi-tool for minor adjustments. For any major issues or if you're unable to repair them yourself, we'll come and help you on-site!

What to do in case of theft or accident?

Accepted Answer

Good news!

Thanks to our partner Tulip, we offer a guarantee covering damage and theft : for any partial or total damage, or theft of the bike or part of the bike, the excess is reduced to only 10% of the purchase price of the part or replacement bike.
 • Cosmetic damage is not covered
 • Parts that do not require a disassembly tool are not taken into account (bags, pumps, cans, etc.)

The Tulip guarantee is offered at the following rates:

• €2 per day per child's bike
 • €4 per day for Amiti and Explore VTCs, TCR Advanced 2 road bikes and Giant Trance X E+3 electric mountain bikes
 • €7 per day for Giant Trance X E+1 electric mountain bikes

If you do not wish to subscribe to the insurance, the purchase price of the replacement part or bicycle will be charged, without any margin taken by Easy Vélo Carcassonne.

Do I need to provide a deposit when renting a bike?

Accepted Answer

Yes !

The deposit varies from €400 for children's bikes to €1,500 for high-end electric mountain bikes. It comes in the form of a virtual credit card imprint, which is not collected. It is not legal to keep an identity document; we will not be able to proceed in any other way.

In the case of group rentals, a deposit per person may be made, subject to the agreement of each person, and specific conditions may be considered in order to optimize preparation time.
